Becoming a Writer for God

Since people often ask how this dyslectic artist became an author, here's Paula Rose Michelson's story in her own words:

"I was such a good storyteller that when speaking of something that really happened, I was often asked if it was a story!

While in my 30’s I began writing a memoir called Journey Home. My husband’s course of study in college prepared him to teach English and creative writing at the college level. Imagine my surprise when he insisted I find a publisher for this work. Though a huge complement, I set that idea aside because we were busy raising our girls.

I started writing when I became as Messianic Jew, I found myself invited to speak at Woman’s Ministries events and retreats. For each event, I wrote a piece that fit with my presentation. I'd read the piece, and then gifted it to be given away or raffled.

A few years later, I was surprised when a women asked me for a print out of the piece I'd written for the event where we meet. It seemed to me that she attended each event I was speaking at - leaving with a duplicate copy of what I'd written.

When my husband and I decided to worship at a Messianic Congregation, she greeted me with open arms. Later, I discovered she owned a small Messianic publishing company, and wanted to publish my work. We meet and discussed ideas. Amazed and blessed, I did some research and began writing character sketches for the three women the reader would meet in the book we decided upon. However, when Naomi (the least important of the three) started telling me her story, writing the six volume faith saga called The Naomi Chronicles became my passion!

Nine years later, I’ve self-published three of the six Naomi Chronicles. The first book of that saga, No Other Choice is now an Amazon Bestseller in Inspirational Romance (Women's & Family) Fiction! You can find all my fictions, and nonfiction Kindle eBook downloads on Amazon." http://amzn.to/1z8ydzA

    1. Becky,

I agree! When speaking to those who are called by God to write, I love to share this story because I've discovered over and over again that God doesn't call the equipped, He equips those He's calls so we can glorify Him!
